Meransen is a hiker’s paradise with great panorama views and a diverse scenery. On tour there, you will spot many picturesque farms and clear mountain creeks. In spring, meadows spread their juicy green at the feet of hikers, the scent of hay fills the air during summer months and in the autumn the golden-yellow larch forests fascinate visitors. A place to experience, recover and relax. With over 280 days of sun exposure, Meransen is one of the sunniest places of South Tyrol.

Not only in summer, Meransen and the hospitality of its inhabitants fascinate guests in winter as well. The eight-seat cable car directly takes you from the village up to an altitude of 2,107 metres, to the heart of the Gitschberg Jochtal skiing resort. The viewing platform at the Gitschberg summit with views of over 500 mountain summits is particularly breath-taking. The overwhelming panorama of the Dolomites, Zillertaler, Stubaier and the Ötztaler Alps alone is worth a trip to Meransen.
