In the Ski-&Holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal
, you can enjoy your holiday without a car and you won’t miss a thing! Mühlbach is the centre-piece of our Alpine region. From here, you can reach Meransen
within minutes. Mühlbach
is linked to the public transport network by train and bus and this way, you can discover the entire area without any problem (and with the AlmencardPLUS
even free of charge). From Mühlbach, the cable railway transports you swiftly to Meransen, the bus carries you every hour to Vals, Pfunders, Rodeneck and the Rodeneck Alm. Even the Fane Alm has a bus shuttle Service (july, august)! You see – there is a way to enjoy your holiday …even without your car!
|| By car :
Leave the Brenner A22 motorway at Brixen-Nord and drive in the direction of the Puster Valley/Bruneck. After about 2 – 3 miles, you will reach the Ski-&Holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal.
If you want to go to Spinges, take the road to Natz/Schabs and from there to Spinges.
If you are eager to find your way to Mühlbach, Meransen and Vals, you need to turn right just before you reach the tunnel. To go to Vintl and the Pfunder Valley, you simply stay on the main road.
From the East via Lienz – Innichen or via the Staller Saddle, you can reach Bruneck via the Puster Valley Road (17 km). Drive along the main road until you come to the relevant exit you are looking for. No fear! It is well signposted.

Using the Brenner Pass train line, you can reach Franzensfeste/Fortezza from a northerly, as well as a southerly direction. The local trains transport you from there into the Puster Valley, Mühlbach, as well as Vintl. After this, you can use the bus or the cable-car to Meransen or your actual holiday destination.
