Starting point: Fane Alm (1,739m)
This twin-peaked mountain can be reached from many distant peaks where its gorgeous shape is an inviting challenge for mountaineers. The ascent however, is long and challenging. From any side, visitors can start at Val di Vizze, Mauls or Fane Alm. From Fane Alm the trail leads through a gorge then continues comfortably throughout the valley. It passes the Pfannalm mountain pasture (2,141m) up to the Brixner hut 2,300m ASL. The hut is open from the end of June and rooms are also available in winter. Follow the course of the valley to the ridge (Rauhtaljoch, 2,808m) between the two peaks, Blickenspitze (2,988m) and Wilde Kreuzspitze. After the ridge, climbing begins. It is steep but not difficult to reach the top.
Difference in height 1,450m, time of ascent: 4.5 hours, rather easy level of difficulty. Recommended from March - May.
