In de winter heeft Meransen in Zuid-Tirol een indrukwekkend glinsterende weidsheid, tal van activiteiten en weer andere fantastische vergezichten. Het dalstation van de kabelbaan die je naar het skigebied Gitschberg Jochtal brengt is niet ver van het dorpscentrum. Uw winteravonturen vindt u dus op een steenworp afstand van uw hotel in het Pustertal. Eenmaal boven op 2113 meter hoogte kunt u skiën, snowboarden, winterwandelen of rodelen in Zuid-Tirol. In de warme seizoenen verandert Meransen in Zuid-Tirol in een bloeiend en geurig paradijs: weelderige groene weiden aan weerszijden van de straten, de geur van hooi in de zomerlucht, de zon in een strakblauwe hemel en schone ademlucht; en dan zijn er ook nog de vergezichten. Meransen ligt in het Pustertal in Zuid-Tirol. Als u met de auto komt volgt u eerst de borden Mühlbach en daarna de borden Meransen tot u in het dorp aankomt.

Als u met de trein vanuit het noorden, zuiden of westen komt stapt u uit bij het treinstation Franzensfeste, neemt u de trein naar Mühlbach en vervolgens de kabelbaan naar Meransen. Komt u met de trein vanuit het oosten? Dan stapt u direct in Mühlbach uit en neemt u vervolgens de kabelbaan naar Meransen.
