Skiing made easy

If you think your family ski holiday is the perfect opportunity for your children to learn skiing (or for you to brush up on your own technique), then drop by in one of the two ski schools in the area! The Gitschberg Ski School near Meransen has state-certified instructors who will teach your little ones the ropes of skiing and snowboarding. They will be in good hands: the school has been awarded the children’s ski schools golden seal of approval. The Jochtal Ski School near Vals offers both group courses and private lessons, as well as lots of fun for the younger skiers.

Highlights for your family ski holiday in South Tyrol

In the Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort we pay special attention to the needs of children. Here, they will find the perfect environment for running riot on the snow, learning new things and making new friends. There is more: we organise early-winter ski courses, so that your children can hit the slopes confidently with you over the Christmas holidays.

Here are our main highlights for families:

  • The Kinderland snow park in Meransen: three magic carpets, a snow-tubing run, slides, a swing and didactic aids for skiing
  • The Kinderwelt children’s park outside the Nesselbahn terminal: a magic carpet, small practice areas and various games
  • Gimmy Fun Ride (in the Jochtal area) with steep curves, small jumps, tunnels and other features

Naturally, there is also a ski kindergarten where your children can have the time of their lives while you enjoy the 55 kilometres of pistes. After a great day out on the snow, you can go back to the family resort of your choice and end the day in style in the spa and with a delicious Italian dinner. It’s going to be a family ski holiday of sheer delight!
