The highlights for your family ski holiday in South Tyrol

Treat your family to a fun-and-action holiday in the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area – a wonderful opportunity for your children to play out in the fresh mountain air, learn exciting things and make new friends. You don’t even have to wait for the Christmas season: with our pre-Christmas ski courses for children , budding skiers learn to ski in a playful way. They will be confident on the skis by the time you start packing for your ski holiday!

Our highlights for families:

  • Gimmy Fun Ride: A varied slope in the Jochtal area, with steep turns, small jumps, tunnels and many exciting elements – action and fun are guaranteed.
  • Gimmy Snowparks: Two children’s playgrounds on snow – one by the Jochtal valley station and one by the Nesselbahn mountain station. Snow hills with slides, crawling tubes and climbing elements invite children to explore and experiment.
  • Kidscross: The two ski cross tracks in the Jochtal and Gitschberg areas offer plenty of fun with their waves and hills. They’re ideal for children (and parents) looking to improve their technique in a safe, playful way.
  • Speed Check: Every second counts! Hit the speed track on Mt. Gitschberg to measure your speed and have your feat recorded on camera – a real highlight for racers young and old.
  • Skimovie: Have your descent down the race track with slalom gates on Mt. Jochtal filmed professionally from the countdown to the finish line. You can download your recording complete with time tracking – an unforgettable experience for ambitious skiers.

If after all this you are left wanting more, the full-day course is for you: while mum and dad unplug and enjoy the 55 kilometres of pistes, the children can play away in the snow, under the watchful eye of skilled carers. In the evening, when you are back at your accommodation, it will be wonderful to sit together at dinner and share your experiences and highlights of the day.
